The war that began on September 27, 2020 is unprecedented and multifaceted in various respects.
The enemy Azerbaijan, with Turkey’s direct and overt involvement, arms supply and direction, is attacking our people and homeland with more advanced and modern military capabilities, albeit in the absence of military courage and competence.
What has occurred is a clear, direct and comprehensive declared war against the entire Armenian nation—Artsakh, Armenia and the Diaspora—taking place on the mother soil of our historic homeland, free and independent Artsakh.
The people of Artsakh are evidently standing firm, fighting with their combativeness and bravery, and destroying the enemy in every sense.
Mother Armenia, with the firmness of a rock and absolute professionalism, is resisting Turkey, Azerbaijan and the mercenary units on the battlefield, around the diplomatic table, and through the craft of international media coverage.
The developments suggest the beginning of a new and protracted war against Artsakh, Armenia and the entire Armenian nation.
The Diaspora in its entirety—with its structures, institutions, organizations, and Diaspora Armenians living on five continents—must actively unite and likewise fight by all possible means. Every community must become a tactical unit. The Diaspora must fight through foreign-language correspondence, local political relations, campaigns on local social networks, and all possible means to target and neutralize Turkey’s and Azerbaijan’s vital instruments, operations and capabilities.
Our pan-Diasporan work thus far is already outdated, and the time has come to realize that the present imposes a new strategy, more combative and all the more powerful.
Turkey is not only the enemy of our past but also the enemy of today and tomorrow, overtly. The Diaspora’s tasks receive new orientation and direction, dictated by this new format of attacks against Armenia and Artsakh.
Therefore, the actions of Turkey and Azerbaijan must be neutralized by all possible means.
