Levon Pulekyan, a constant presence in Syria’s national-public life, today marks his 68th birthday.
A man who, at various stages of his life, has been a faithful soldier and devoted activist of the century-old ADL party.
The ADL circles of Aleppo, Damascus, Beirut and the Middle East in general are well acquainted with and have come to know Levon closely.
For our comrade, a man of firm ideological makeup, a believer in high national values and a bearer of those values, the golden principle of “Carry out your work without making a fuss” has always been paramount, and indeed, whether during Aleppo’s prosperous days or in the situation that arose afterwards in Yerevan, Levon has always remained the guardian of our party’s noble tradition.
When storms struck our party, Levon believed that those difficulties too would pass, that a sunny and cloudless sky would surely open, and that all those who believe in the party’s principles would gather around its unwavering path and fluttering flag.
These approaches are, of course, given to all and shared by all, but unfortunately, especially in our reality, these principles were not always respected.
The fortunate thing was that Levon turned his ideas of zeal and commitment towards the ADL into a principle of life, and today he continues to walk the path of devotion traced by the greats of our party, always preferring quiet and persistent work, for the sake of our people and the glory of the Armenian people.
With this in mind, on behalf of the editorial staff of “Ramgavar Mamoul,” we extend our warmest congratulations to Levon, wishing him endurance, prosperity and ever-new achievements.
Happy birthday to our dear comrade Pulekyan, beloved of us all.
