The study of collected videos and photographs shows that the torture and cruelty, inhuman treatment of Armenian prisoners by Azerbaijani armed forces were committed on ethnic hatred motives. The Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan made a statement on this.
The statement, in particular, reads.
«Today we completed the analysis of 297 videos and photographs regarding the Azerbaijani atrocities against Armenian servicemen and civilians, the destruction and desecration of Armenian historical, cultural and religious heritage:
Those videos and photographs, in particular, refer to (addition: the same person may be referred to in more than one video or photograph)
• 98 to the torture and humiliation of prisoners while alive.
• 17 to beheadings and killings.
• 32 to the desecration of the bodies of the killed and the mutilation of body parts (for example, cutting off a hand or ear).
• 54 to the management of the social network pages of the captives, including the spread of hatred and the dissemination of the photo of a beheaded serviceman through the latter’s page.
• 49 to the use of prohibited weapons of mass destruction, including those containing chemical elements, against the civilian settlements and forested areas of Artsakh.
• 26 to the destruction and vandalism of Armenian historical, cultural and religious heritage, including monuments and churches.
• 12 to the websites and social network pages (Telegram, Instagram, etc.) through which hatred and enmity were spread, as well as videos or photographs of Azerbaijani cruelties against Armenian prisoners.
• 9 to the involvement or participation of mercenary terrorists in the war:
