On 8 October, political consultations took place in Ankara between representatives of the foreign ministries of Turkey and Iran.
The sides exchanged views regarding bilateral relations. Regional and international agenda items were also discussed, with emphasis placed on the situation prevailing in Syria, Afghanistan, the Caucasus and Yemen.
The delegations of the two countries were headed by the deputies of the heads of the foreign policy departments of Turkey and Iran, Sedat Önal and Ali Bagheri Kani.
