During the briefing, a journalist noted that it was the 100th day of the blockade of the Lachin corridor and asked what position the United States holds regarding the conflict and whether the presence of Russian soldiers in Nagorno-Karabakh is a concern for America.

In response to the question, John Kirby said: “I will say what we have said before. We call on the parties to de-escalate. We do not want to see any violence, and we want all parties to take appropriate steps to ease tensions and stop the violence.”

Kirby did not answer the question regarding the presence of Russian soldiers in Nagorno-Karabakh.
