The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, issued a message on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Artsakh’s independence.
“Dear compatriots, September 2 is a most important day in our lives. Thirty years ago, at the joint session of the regional councils of people’s deputies of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast and the Shahumyan district convened in Stepanakert, the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh was proclaimed.
“On the path of state-building, we have had great achievements and losses. I bow before the memory of the martyrs who fell for the homeland. Human losses are irreparable, and at the same time, they are binding. We have a historic obligation to live and create in our own homeland, to build the Republic of Artsakh, guided by our national values and internationally established rights.
Congratulations on Republic of Artsakh Day,” the message from Harutyunyan reads.
