The Artsakh MFA has commented on the letter of 121 members of the European Parliament regarding the release of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians illegally held in Azerbaijan, and has issued the following statement:
“We highly appreciate the letter of 121 members of the European Parliament addressed to the President of the European Commission and the President of the European Council regarding the need for the immediate release of Armenian prisoners of war currently illegally held in Azerbaijan. We value the position of the members of the European Parliament in raising the issue of Azerbaijan’s violations of international humanitarian law and defending the legitimate demand of Artsakh. It is an exemplary manifestation of humanity, moral values, and respect for the norms and principles of international law.”
