At the Yerevan summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed hope that “the Russian side’s peacekeeping efforts will allow the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict to be regulated.”
As reported by RIA Novosti, according to the press service of the Kazakh leader, Tokayev, speaking at the summit, supported steps aimed at the diplomatic settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
“We are all interested in the regulation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We hope that the Russian side’s peacekeeping efforts will provide the opportunity to resolve the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict exclusively by political and diplomatic means and bring the parties to the signing of a peace treaty,” read Tokayev’s press release.
