RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is confident that after the end of the coronavirus pandemic, Armenia will continue its path of economic recovery. The Prime Minister said this during the BBC’s HARDtalk programme.
“In 2019 we had the largest economic growth in Europe. Apart from economic success, our country recorded huge progress in all international rankings — democracy, freedom of speech, independence of the judicial system, anti-corruption policy. For two consecutive years, by internationally reputable publications, Armenia was recognised as the country of the year not only in terms of democracy, but also economic indicators. Of course, the pandemic situation interrupted our flight, but we shall continue our path of economic recovery,” said Prime Minister Pashinyan.
It should be noted that in 2019 Armenia recorded 7.6 percent economic growth — the highest during the previous 12 years.
