A consultation was held under the leadership of Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, during which ways to address existing problems in the irrigation sector were discussed.
The Acting Prime Minister published video footage from the consultation on his Facebook page, in which he said:
«For many years now, we have been recording unprecedented heat. This is no longer a phenomenon occurring in a single year, but a global climate change. This means that the problems we face are highly likely to be ongoing. That is, we will have an irrigation water problem, and new challenges are taking shape for us in the agricultural sector»:
He also emphasized that traditional irrigation has no future.
