The President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, informs from his Facebook page that the families of Artsakh servicemen who were killed, went missing, or were deemed first-group disabled will be provided with new housing stock. He signed a decision on this matter days ago.
“I want to inform you that days ago I signed a Government decision, approving the housing provision program for the families of persons killed (deceased) as a result of the military operations unleashed against the Republic of Artsakh on 27 September 2020, persons recognized as missing, persons recognized as first-group disabled without a time limit, and (or) persons left homeless, which is a fundamental document for the regulation and organization of subsequent work in the said field,” stated Harutyunyan.
The financing of the program will be carried out from the state budget of the Republic of Armenia, the state budget of the Republic of Artsakh, the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, and other means not prohibited by legislation.
“Through such programs, we will solve the housing problem of all our citizens in need of housing. I should note that the state housing programs in effect during the pre-war period also remain in force, and the government continues to fulfill its obligations in parallel toward the remaining beneficiary groups.”
