Russian President Vladimir Putin sent congratulatory messages to President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Armenia. The Russian President noted that close cooperation has been established between the two countries in various fields, as well as constructive interaction within the frameworks of the EAEU, CSTO and CIS.
“Relations with Armenia are based on the good traditions of friendship, cultural and spiritual affinity. Their further development in a spirit of alliance undoubtedly corresponds to the fundamental interests of our fraternal peoples,” stressed the Russian President.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, United States President Joe Biden sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He noted that in the coming years they are ready to support the Armenian people on their path along the democratic road, supporting in particular efforts to strengthen democratic institutions, advance human rights, fight corruption and ensure the rule of law.
“Over the past year, the Armenian people have faced numerous challenges, during which there were tragic human losses during the hostilities of the Artsakh conflict. Sharing the grief of the Armenian people, we will work hand in hand with your government within the OSCE Minsk Group and other regional formats to promote regional stability and regulate the conflict. The United States will continue to take measures towards the release of Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan,” said the US President.
French President Emmanuel Macron sent a congratulatory message to President Armen Sarkissian on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. Macron noted that France wishes to be a player for peace in the region, and it is in that spirit that it stands by Armenia’s side to help it overcome the challenges facing it one year after the bloody Artsakh war.
“We will spare no effort, within the framework of the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group, to find lasting solutions to the conflict and to reach a stabilisation of the situation in the South Caucasus, in favour of the development and prosperity of the region. This also presupposes the resumption of dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan under the auspices of the co-chairmanship of the Minsk Group. France, as a co-chairing country, is ready to offer its support on this matter. On this symbolic occasion, while reaffirming my best wishes, I ask that you accept the assurance of my deepest respect,” said the French President.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent congratulatory messages to President Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day. Lukashenko stressed that during the 30 years of independence, Belarus and Armenia have maintained and strengthened bilateral ties.
“I am convinced that historical relations of friendship, close personal contacts based on trust and effective cooperation in various integration formats will continue to serve as a solid foundation for constructive political dialogue, the implementation of fruitful economic and humanitarian projects, for the benefit of both countries,” reads the congratulatory message.
President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day.
“Currently, the momentum of development of bilateral relations between China and Armenia is being maintained. China and Armenia support each other on issues representing the core interests of the two countries, cooperation within the framework of the joint construction of the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative is steadily developing, and significant achievements are being recorded in the joint fight against the crown pandemic,” said the Chinese President.
On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, the supreme leadership of the State of Qatar sent congratulatory messages. The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, sent a message to Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, congratulating him on the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. The Prime Minister of Qatar, Minister of Interior Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, in turn, sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. In the telegram, His Majesty expressed his sincere feelings and best wishes to President Sarkissian. His Majesty also wished the friendly people of Armenia further progress and prosperity.
