In Washington, exactly what I presented from this podium last week was discussed. This was stated on May 3 by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly.
“Yes, there is a document on the table, and it is the document that I suggested Mrs. Khamoyan come and familiarize herself with. You will find nothing new in that document, because I have spoken about this document from this podium, publicly. Since negotiations are now underway, any positive or negative comment will affect the course of the negotiations. Let me not say anything,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
He noted what he had instructed the negotiating team: “I have said: remember, the paper you are negotiating, I will sign it. Negotiate freely, within the framework of our political course and within the framework of our publicly expressed opinions.”
In response to the question of by whose decision National Assembly Vice President Ruben Rubinyan is participating in the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations underway in Washington, Pashinyan answered: “Ruben Rubinyan went by my political decision.”
