158 million dram aid from the Armenian government to earthquake-hit Syria and Turkey

157,816,100 drams have been allocated from the Armenian government’s reserve fund to provide food and bedding supplies to earthquake-hit Syria and Turkey. The decision was taken at the Armenian government’s session on 16 February. The sum earmarked for humanitarian aid has been provided to the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Let us recall that on 6 February, at 05:17, an earthquake struck the province of Kahramanmaraş in Turkey, devastating a number of cities. The death toll from the earthquake has reached approximately 36,000. It should be noted that search-and-rescue teams departed from Armenia for Turkey and Syria on 8 February.

157,816,100 drams have been allocated from the Armenian government’s reserve fund to provide food and bedding supplies to earthquake-hit Syria and Turkey.

The decision was taken at the Armenian government’s session on 16 February.

The sum earmarked for humanitarian aid has been provided to the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Let us recall that on 6 February, at 05:17, an earthquake struck the province of Kahramanmaraş in Turkey, devastating a number of cities. The death toll from the earthquake has reached approximately 36,000.

It should be noted that search-and-rescue teams departed from Armenia for Turkey and Syria on 8 February.

Armenia has provided around 200 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the earthquake-hit countries, including food, clothing and medicine.
