On November 27, the 30th meeting of the Board of Trustees of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund was held, chaired by the President of the Republic, Armen Sarkissian, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund. Twenty-three members of the Board of Trustees attended the meeting, four of them remotely.
At the opening of the meeting, the participants observed a minute of silence in honor of the memory of the servicemen who fell in the defense of the borders of Artsakh and Armenia.
The first item on the agenda concerned the examination of the monetary funds donated to the Republic of Armenia, on which several reports were presented. The Board discussed the reports in detail and decided to issue a statement, which will be published in the near future.
“The situation and events have also left their mark on the activities and work of the ‘Hayastan’ All-Armenian Fund, both in Armenia and in Artsakh,” said the President of the Republic, Armen Sarkissian, and added, “the moment for the modernization of the Fund has now matured even more. We must adopt a new mindset, make wide use of new technologies, and find new organizational models.”
The Fund’s Executive Director, Haykak Arshamyan, presented the extensive programs for 2020-21 aimed at the development of healthcare, social services, culture, as well as infrastructure in a number of communities in Artsakh and Armenia. In accordance with the agenda, the consolidated financial and programmatic reports for 2020 and the budget for 2021 were approved, and the Fund’s future course of action was discussed.
The Board decided to confirm Haykak Arshamyan in the position of Executive Director for a term of three years.
“The 30th meeting of the Board of Trustees took place in a constructive atmosphere. There were many questions, to which clear and comprehensive answers were given,” noted the Fund’s Executive Director, Haykak Arshamyan, after the conclusion of the meeting.
The Fund’s Board of Trustees once again expressed its gratitude to the hundreds of thousands of donors who have made their invaluable contribution to the strengthening of the homeland during this difficult period.
