We have proven that wearing a mask on the street protects, announced Health Minister Arsen Torosyan at today’s government meeting.
“When we look at our elderly citizens sitting in a lounge playing backgammon, it is only the mask that will protect them; until we reach this simple understanding, we will not be able to face this challenge,” he said.
According to Torosyan, as of 09:00 this morning we have 143 people who need to be transferred to hospital, 25 of whom are at home.
“Nine are in mild condition, 16 are in moderate condition,” the minister said.
He noted that 444 people are in serious condition, and 131 people are in critical condition, 39 of whom are on artificial lung ventilation devices.
