The Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party announces with deep sorrow the unexpected death of Ara Aharonian (born 1952, Tripoli), member of the ADL Central Board, General Secretary of the ADL Armenian Cause Council, and a meritorious and faithful colleague, which occurred on Wednesday, 05 May 2021, in Los Angeles.
With his death, we have lost a faithful soldier of the cause, an unwavering servant of the Armenian nation. A man who gave meaning to his life through devotion and, through the ADL, worked on behalf of our people, on behalf of the Armenian Cause, and on behalf of the homeland.
For decades, holding leadership positions, he took an active part in party, national, and community life, bringing his many years of collaboration to “Nor Or” and to the party press.
Aharonian today departs from us, to join the devoted ones who shaped the glorious historical past of our proud party, the host of ideological and deserving comrades.
On this sad occasion, in the name of the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party and the entire membership, we express our heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, and party and union comrades.
