The Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs’ department of repatriation and integration is to be equipped with a dedicated center, in view of the importance of the highly valuable mission it has carried out and will continue to carry out in the future.
The official opening ceremony of the center, located on Republic Avenue in the capital city of Yerevan (No. 37), will take place on Thursday, July 27, at 12:00 noon. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Nikol Pashinyan, will also attend and deliver a speech at the ceremony.
At the special invitation of Mr. Hovhannes Aleksanyan, head of the strategy development department of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and responsible for repatriation matters, members of the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, Vice-Chairman Mr. Aleksan Garadanyan and Deputy Secretary Dr. Avetis Dakesian, visited the center on Monday, July 24.
Mr. Aleksanyan and his staff members provided clarifications on the details of the work carried out by their department, particularly emphasizing the considerable efforts being deployed in the social, organizational and healthcare spheres.
They also touched upon the upcoming seminar-courses, which aim to impart skills and knowledge related to commercial enterprises, legal matters, the tax and customs system, and practical accounting. Repatriates aged 18 and above will be able to follow the four-week courses in separate Armenian/Russian and Armenian/English groups.
