It was with deep sorrow that we received the news of the death of our devoted Ramgavar Azadagan comrade Oshin Leon Mostichyan, which took place yesterday, August 3, in São Paulo, Brazil, after a long illness.
Our lamented comrade, having grown up in a family with deep national convictions, from an early age brought enthusiastic participation to the national life of distant Brazil.
In his youth, having fully embraced the national creed of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, he became a devotee of that sacred ideology and, for decades, with ever-increasing dedication, served it.
After holding numerous responsible positions within the ADL of South America, in 1988, at the Party’s 17th General Congress, he was elected a member of the Central Board, and since 2019, he was duly honoured with the title of Honorary Member.
Since its founding in Brazil (1992), he brought thirty-one years of diligent participation to the local committee of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, successfully serving as its chairman from 2002 to 2014.
The funeral and burial of our lamented comrade Oshin Mostichyan will take place tomorrow, Saturday, August 5.
On this sad occasion, we express our heartfelt condolences to all his mourning relatives, as well as to all his like-minded comrades, men and women, throughout the diaspora.
