The international credit rating agency Moody’s has raised Armenia’s rating from “B1” to “Ba3”. This was written on his Facebook page by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan:
“The decision is based on Moody’s assessments that the growth of the drivers of economic growth in Armenia, combined with the economic stability maintained for a long time, increases the resilience of Armenia’s economy. Moody’s stated in its announcement that the growth of the real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Armenia will remain high in the medium term.
Particularly emphasized was the development of the IT sector in Armenia, which is mostly engaged in the research and development of high technologies and constitutes a strong foundation for a knowledge-based economy,” wrote Pashinyan.
According to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, this rating increases international confidence in Armenia’s economy and significantly improves the country’s investment attractiveness.
