On Sunday, 4 July 2021, representatives of the leadership of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (ADL), headed by the Vice-Chairman of the party’s Central Board, Hagop Andresyan, visited the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan.
The ADL delegation was accompanied by the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh on agriculture, the Chairman of the Artsakh ADL, and a member of the ADL Central Board, Bardugh Saribek Galstyan.
During the meeting, issues related to domestic and foreign policy, as well as overcoming the challenges of the post-war period, were discussed.
Welcoming the ADL delegation’s visit to Artsakh, President Harutyunyan stressed that the only way to keep Artsakh Armenian is unity and the consolidation of the efforts of all Armenians. In this context, he also emphasized the need to promote the implementation of various investment programmes in Artsakh, directing the main potential and resources towards housing construction and the creation of opportunities for Artsakh Armenians to live and create on their native land.
Referring to the war of autumn 2020, the President noted that it was a great trial for the entire Armenian nation, but the time has come to set new nationwide goals and work towards forging new successes and victories. Arayik Harutyunyan stressed that the recognition of Artsakh’s independence and the restoration of its territorial integrity remain the priority issues facing our state.
Hagop Andresyan expressed gratitude to the President for the warm reception and noted that the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party has always stood by Artsakh. He stressed that as in the past, today too, the ADL will continue its work for the development and strengthening of the homeland.
The parties exchanged views on the directions of cooperation between Artsakh and the ADL, during which the members of the delegation presented the party’s upcoming programmes planned in Artsakh.
