On Tuesday, 21 June 2022, a delegation of the ADL Central Board, headed by Central Board Chairman Comrade Mike Kharapyan, visited the RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Mr. Zareh Sinanyan.
The delegation headed by Comrade Kharapyan comprised Central Board members: Comrade Hagop Andreasian (Jerusalem), Comrade Levon Pılıkhyan (Yerevan), Comrade Norayr Mkrtichian (New York-New Jersey), Comrade Vazgen Eskijian (France), Comrade Panik Keshishian (Los Angeles), Comrade Hayk Lepejian (Australia), as well as National Assembly deputy Mr. Vigen Khachatryan.
At the meeting, the High Commissioner welcomed the guests and congratulated them on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the ADL.
Mr. Sinanyan stressed that the ADL’s contribution is great in the preservation of Armenian identity in the diaspora and the homeland, the protection of Armenian interests, the strengthening of communities, and the reinforcement of Armenia-diaspora ties, and the mission of the party’s ideology’s true devotees is also undeniable, namely: to stand by the homeland in any circumstance, to contribute to the consolidation of statehood, and to place the state above individuals and circumstances.
Comrade Mike Kharapyan, Chairman of the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, expressing gratitude to Mr. Sinanyan, underscored the importance of the structure he heads, noting that the Diaspora remains one of Armenia’s most important and reliable forces.
Subsequently, the ADL representatives familiarised themselves with the office’s activities, programmes and initiatives, and expressed readiness to support the work of disseminating those programmes in the diaspora. A long conversation also unfolded around the problems existing in the diaspora.
