Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, on 30 May 2019, received within the Government the members of the newly elected Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (ADL), headed by Chairman Mike Kharapyan.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Chairman of the ADL Central Board and the other members of the Board on the occasion of their election, wishing them a successful course for their future programmes and effective activity.
During the meeting, Pashinyan touched upon the developments of recent days, and also emphasised that serious changes are taking place in Armenia today, and that the steps of the government he heads are now aimed at realising an economic revolution in the country, creating the necessary favourable and equal conditions for economic actors, and making the business environment more attractive.
ADL Chairman Mike Kharapyan, for his part, welcomed the changes taking place in Armenia, noting that during the popular revolution and the days that followed, ADL circles were following the reforms with great enthusiasm, and are now very enthusiastic and find commendable the efforts directed at eliminating systemic corruption and economic monopolies in the country, as well as the successes already achieved.
Kharapyan also expressed hope in this regard that the reform efforts initiated within the justice system will soon reach their desired resolution and that the injustices of the past period will be corrected, restoring justice and the rule of law.
The ADL representatives expressed their unconditional support to Nikol Pashinyan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the work of building a rule-of-law state and implementing democratic and economic reforms.
The parties agreed to meet again in the future for an exchange of ideas on practical programmes and for specifying ways to involve the potential of the diaspora Armenians in the work of developing the homeland.
