Our neighboring countries and not only the immediate neighboring countries have not yet understood that in the Republic of Armenia there are red lines that are clear to us. This was stated by National Assembly President Alen Simonyan during the extraordinary session of the National Assembly.
“Azerbaijan often declares that the citizens of Artsakh can have the same rights as their own citizens — what is that, being in the status of a hostage, being cut off from gas and having no opportunity to warm up in these winter conditions? The second observation I wish to make is the observation regarding the international mandate, which shows that we must seriously deal with this and speak with our international partners on the question of that mandate. Regardless of whether we are satisfied with the mandate of the peacekeepers or not, all this shows that the peacekeepers are necessary there and the mission must be extended; perhaps we should also consider the question of carrying out oversight there through other international formats,” said Simonyan.
He emphasized that the United States, the EU and France have made targeted statements.
“According to the information we have, the Russian Federation is also preparing to make a similar statement. The Armenian people have long been waiting for this from its ally country; let us hope that this time they will not disappoint,” said Alen Simonyan.
