The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, at an extraordinary session, adopted the draft statement “On the humanitarian crisis created by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh.” It was presented by Hayk Konjoryan, head of the “Civil Contract” faction.

“Proceeding from the situation that has arisen, we call on the Russian Federation to carry out the necessary actions to ensure the full implementation of the provisions enshrined in the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, in the zone of control of the Russian peacekeepers. We call on the international community to strictly and specifically condemn Azerbaijan’s actions and to take measures to prevent the expansion of the humanitarian disaster in Nagorno-Karabakh,” the statement presented by the Civil Contract party said.
The National Assembly also appealed to the UN Security Council, the co-chairing and member countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, to send a fact-finding mission to Nagorno-Karabakh to observe the humanitarian situation.
