Artak Beglaryan, adviser to the Artsakh State Minister, is starting an indefinite sit-in and movement in Yerevan, at this stage in front of the UN office, with the following demands.

Beglaryan announced this on his Facebook page, adding the following.

« 1. UN bodies must condemn Azerbaijan’s genocidal actions and blockade against the people of Artsakh.

2. The UN Security Council must address the issue of ensuring the security of the people of Artsakh, providing clear international guarantees.

3. At least the five permanent members of the UN Security Council (USA, Russia, France, Great Britain and China) and the European Union must condemn Azerbaijan’s actions and take practical measures to rein in Azerbaijan:

I call on the society of Armenia —

  1. To come out of the stupor of indifference and helplessness, and let each person, to the extent and in the manner they can, contribute to the sacred cause of the defence of Artsakh and the guarantee of the Armenian future.
  2. To keep under pressure, through various public actions, especially the embassies of the five permanent member countries of the UN Security Council, demanding clear actions — both individually and within the UN format.
  3. To speak and write everywhere possible about the importance of Artsakh and its present need — both in Armenian and in foreign languages.
  4. Whoever can join the sit-in or other protest actions, let them join, because our compatriots in Artsakh are enduring far greater deprivations right now.

I call on our compatriots in the Diaspora —

  1. To organise acts of civil disobedience in their countries, demanding practical steps from their governments for the defence of Artsakh and for reining in Azerbaijan.
  2. To launch awareness campaigns aimed at foreign societies and media, presenting the needs of the Armenians of Artsakh and the Azerbaijani crimes.

Artsakh is the uncompromising value of the entire Armenian nation, and this struggle belongs to us all:

At 15:00 I invite you to a press conference in front of the UN office. I will present the rest at that time»:
