Another child has been transferred to the intensive care unit at the “Arevik” medical center in Artsakh, while the condition of one more patient at the Republican Medical Center has deteriorated. Their condition is assessed as extremely critical. The information was reported by the press service of the Artsakh Ministry of Health.
It should be noted that as of 26 December, there were 10 children in the neonatal and intensive care units of the “Arevik” hospital, while the condition of 4 citizens at the “Republican” hospital was assessed as extremely critical.
“At the ‘Arevik’ medical unit, 11 children are in the neonatal and intensive care units. At the ‘Republican Medical Center,’ 10 patients are in the intensive care unit, 5 of whom are in extremely critical condition,” the statement said.
It was also noted that scheduled surgeries continue to be suspended at the republic’s medical institutions.
The 4-month-old Artsakh infant diagnosed with “visceral leishmaniasis,” who was recently transferred to Armenia through the mediation and accompaniment of the Red Cross, continues to receive treatment at a specialized medical center. Their condition is stabilizing.
