The defense team of former Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan announced today that it will again petition the court to change his preventive measure.
The statement reads:
“It has been one year and three months since David Tonoyan’s arrest, and only now has the defense been afforded the opportunity, over the course of three court sessions, to present and examine the factual data and evidence that fully refute the charges.
In particular, to substantiate the necessity and legality of the acquisition of the missiles, the lawfulness of the actions taken by the accused officials within the scope of their authority, and the compliance of the missiles in question with technical standards, requirements and shelf-life specifications. Also presented were the irregularities, inaccuracies and instances of directed haste committed during the preliminary investigation.”
