Following their meeting in Antalya, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Turkey, Ararat Mirzoyan and Mevlut Cavusoglu, touched upon the results of the meeting that took place.
According to Turkey’s foreign minister, the meeting was very constructive and productive. “Steps aimed at the full normalisation of relations were discussed,” said Cavusoglu.
Minister Mirzoyan first expressed gratitude to Minister Cavusoglu for the invitation. “I believe the invitation was a fairly positive message, and I deemed it necessary to respond to that message in the same positive manner. During our meeting, we reaffirmed both sides’ readiness to continue the normalisation process, with the aim of establishing relations and opening borders, without any preconditions,” said Mirzoyan.
Mirzoyan also stated, “I am glad to see that all the peoples of the region, all the states, are trying to build peace and stability in our region. And I want to say that Armenia is steadfast in establishing peace in the region.”
It should be recalled that Mirzoyan is in Antalya, where he participated in the “Diplomatic Forum” organised by Turkey.
