By decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, Armen Abazyan has been appointed Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia. The decree has been published on the official website of the President of the Republic of Armenia.
“Based on the Prime Minister’s proposal, in accordance with Part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as Part 1 of Article 4.1 of the Law on National Security Bodies, Armen Abazyan is appointed Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia,” reads the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia.
It should be recalled that the acting Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, Mikael Hambardzumyan, had earlier been relieved of his post.
