In Beirut, on November 6, member of the ADL Lebanon Regional Board, devoted activist Vazgen Jamkochyan (born in 1968) passed away.
Thanks to his noble character and good reputation, Jamkochyan enjoyed great respect. From his student years, he made significant contributions to party work in Yerevan, during the founding years of the ADL’s Arshak Chobanyan Club. He held responsible positions in his club in Lebanon and in the Regional Board. As an ADL representative, he was part of various inter-community and national bodies, the last of which was the National Reconstruction Body formed after the Beirut explosion, where he fulfilled his assumed responsibility with high awareness and brilliant manner, as if as a final tribute of devotion to the Lebanese-Armenian community.
The requiem and funeral service of the deceased will take place on Monday, November 9, 2020, at 1:00 PM, at the Norashen Sts. Vardanants Church, from where the body of the deceased will be transferred to the Bourj Hammoud National Cemetery.
Due to the “Corona” pandemic prevailing in Beirut, condolences will be received online or by phone.
The Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, deeply grieving the untimely death of a faithful colleague, expresses its heartfelt condolences on behalf of all its members to the family and relatives of Vazgen Jamkochyan.
Blessing to his unfading memory and eternal light and peace to his soul.
