Armenia Elected to UN Human Rights Council Membership

Armenia has been elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council, receiving 144 votes in a ballot of 193 countries. “This is a testament to the very great trust of the international community in our country, particularly in the matter of the protection of human rights. I congratulate us all,” wrote Pashinyan, assessing the outcome of the election. For his part, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stated that Armenia is committed to working and cooperating with all partners to advance the human rights agenda.
