Armenia continues to hold a leading position in the region in the rate of coronavirus infections per 1 million people. According to the worldometers.info website, that figure stood at 3,378 on 2 June.
Meanwhile, in the other countries of the region it is comparatively much lower. In Iran, where a “record” increase in new cases of infection has been registered over the past two months, the infection rate per 1 million people is 1,878; in Turkey it is 1,965; in Azerbaijan 586; in Georgia 200; and in the Russian Federation 2,904.
