Baku has responded to the statement of the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan regarding Azerbaijan’s so-called proposals for normalizing relations between the two countries.
The Armenian Foreign Minister had stated that negotiations on a peace agreement with Azerbaijan should proceed without preconditions.
“We do not deem it necessary to reiterate the position we have voiced on numerous occasions. Considering the importance of normalizing relations between the two countries after the conflict and establishing peace in the region, Azerbaijan has put forward the relevant proposals and is ready to move forward in that direction. If Armenia also takes this matter seriously, it must present its clear proposals and thereby demonstrate its readiness to begin substantive and results-oriented negotiations,” reads the commentary of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
