Armenia has recorded 41 new cases of infection with the coronavirus. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in a live broadcast on his Facebook page.
“Today we have 41 new confirmed cases; the scale and geography of these cases cause some concern. Cases of coronavirus infection have been detected at a production enterprise in Kotayk Province and at one of the production enterprises located in the Erebuni community of Yerevan. Of our 235 patients who have tested positive for the coronavirus, 26 have pneumonia, but their condition is manageable. The majority of those infected do not have a fever,” said Pashinyan.
The government has declared a state of emergency. The state of emergency is in effect throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Armenia from 16 March, starting at 18:30, until 14 April, at 17:00.
