As of 11:00 a.m. on May 22, a total of 5,928 cases of the coronavirus disease have been confirmed in Armenia, of which 2,874 have recovered.
This was stated on the website of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the RA Ministry of Health.
At this time, 2,952 infected individuals are actually receiving treatment for the coronavirus disease. In total, 47,654 tests have been conducted. Thus, there are 322 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease and 293 recoveries.
In total, 74 deaths from the coronavirus disease have been recorded (an increase of 4).
The RA Ministry of Health reported that the deceased patients were men aged 52, 81, 61 and 82, and had accompanying chronic diseases.
One additional death has been recorded in which the patient tested positive for the coronavirus infection, but death resulted from another illness. The total number of such cases has reached 28.
