“Armenia has received 620,400 doses of Moderna’s Spikevax vaccine as a donation.” This was written on her Facebook page by Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, noting that on October 22 a trilateral agreement was signed between Armenia, the Kingdom of Norway and Moderna.
Regarding the transportation of the new batch, according to the ministry, Armenia will be supported by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection.
Earlier, the Lithuanian government had donated 50,000 doses of the American company Moderna’s Spikevax vaccine to Armenia.
Five types of vaccines against the coronavirus are currently being administered in Armenia: the Russian Sputnik V, the British-Swedish AstraZeneca, the Chinese Coronavac and Sinopharm, and the American Moderna.
