Armenia Sends Rescue Teams to Syria and Turkey

On 7 February, the Republic of Armenia sent rescue teams to Syria and Turkey to support search-and-rescue operations in the areas affected by the devastating earthquake. This was announced on his Facebook page by Foreign Ministry spokesman Vahan Hunanyan. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 27 rescuers were sent to Turkey and 29 to Syria. It should be noted that the rescue teams have already landed. Later, Garo Paylan, an Armenian-origin deputy in the Turkish parliament, confirmed that the rescue team and aid sent by Armenia had already landed in Turkey.

“The rescue team and aid sent by Armenia are already landing in the country. Solidarity is life,” Paylan wrote.
