Yesterday, the first Ryanair aircraft on the Milan-Yerevan-Milan route landed at Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport.

The landing aircraft passed under a water arch.

The arriving guests were welcomed at the airport by Tatevik Revazyan, Chair of Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee, and Susanna Safaryan, head of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy.

The budget airline Ryanair began ticket sales on January 3 for 2 additional new routes — Gyumri-Athens and Yerevan-Thessaloniki. Tatevik Revazyan also announced that Armenia will be connected to the world not by 7, but by 17 new routes.

The airline also operated a flight to Yerevan from Rome, which arrived last night.

It should also be noted that some air traffic control unions in Italy had declared a 4-hour strike yesterday, as a result of which the flight time was postponed.
