A meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has taken place in Moscow.
According to Armenpress, during the meeting Sergei Lavrov also touched upon the NK issue, emphasizing that there is a whole range of questions regarding the Karabakh settlement that are directly discussed by the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia.
“There are issues that our military and border guards resolve on a daily basis, in cooperation with their Armenian and Azerbaijani colleagues. The trilateral working group on unblocking economic and transport communications is functioning at the level of deputy prime ministers,” Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister also noted that the Armenian-Russian cooperation agenda is very full — the economy, investments, the security sphere, as well as humanitarian, educational and scientific fields. “We want this cooperation to continue to develop, in the interests of our citizens and our interaction,” Lavrov noted.
Sergei Lavrov congratulated Ararat Mirzoyan on his appointment as Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia and expressed gratitude for making his first visit to Moscow.
