Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission, at its session held on 23 September, drew up a protocol on depriving Arsen Julfalakyan of his parliamentary mandate on the basis of his own application, from the ruling “My Step” alliance.
The Central Electoral Commission also confirmed the protocol on transferring this mandate to Narek Ghahramanyan, who was next after Julfalakyan on the proportional list of the ruling “My Step” alliance.
The protocol is to be sent to the National Assembly of Armenia.
It should be noted that earlier, the President of the RA Parliament, Ararat Mirzoyan, had issued a statement regarding the declaration by Arsen Julfalakyan of the ruling “My Step” alliance to lay down his mandate. Julfalakyan stated that he had laid down his parliamentary mandate because of principled disagreements with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic, Arayik Harutyunyan.
