Under the 2020 state budget draft, Armenia’s Defense Ministry is projected to receive 194.2 billion drams, which is 4.2 billion more than in 2019.
The increase in spending is due to the growth of GDP indicators.
Thus, in accordance with the agreements signed between the governments of Armenia and the Russian Federation on the servicing of air assets of the Russian Armed Forces stationed in Armenia, 100 million drams are projected to be allocated from the state budget, while for the repair and maintenance of the Defense Ministry’s buildings and structures — residential homes where servicemen and officers live with their families, offices and other structures — 92.7 billion drams are projected to be allocated, which is 26.2 billion more than in 2019.
