Renowned Armenian director Jiwan Avetisyan has begun work on a new film, “Black List,” which will be dedicated to the story of Russian-Israeli blogger and traveler Alexander Lapshin in Azerbaijan, a story that drew wide resonance. Lapshin wrote about this on his Facebook page.
He noted that the film will also tell of the “dirty deal” between Aliyev and Lukashenko, of intrigues within Azerbaijan’s government, of the assassination attempt against him, of the connection between Israeli arms dealers and Aliyev’s regime, and more.
The blogger also recommended watching Jiwan Avetisyan’s film “The Gates of Paradise.”
It should be noted that the film’s first screening in Armenia and Artsakh took place in October. The film tells of German journalist Robert Sternwal (50 years old), who returns to Artsakh in 2016 to cover the war that resumed after a twenty-two-year interval.
Through his journalistic investigation, he becomes acquainted with young opera singer Sofia Marti (35 years old). Robert and Sofia’s frequent meetings awaken a feeling of mutual love, but it becomes clear that Sofia is the daughter of missing photojournalist Edgar Martirosyan, whom Robert left in the village in captivity on the day of Talish’s fall in 1992, and whose photographs taken on the battlefield he then appropriated…
