Thanks to the monitoring work carried out jointly by the «Khosrov Forest» State Reserve SNCO (State Non-Commercial Organization) and the Armenian branch of the World Wide Fund for Nature, the camera traps of the state reserve have once again captured the leopard.
The leopard is included in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia and in the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Let us recall that it has been 5 years now that the leopard has been living in the territory of the «Khosrov Forest» State Reserve.
The leopard is one of the most impressive animals of Armenia’s fauna and one of the most endangered species of the Caucasian eco-region.
