An assassination attempt has been carried out in Baku against Fazil Mustafa, a deputy of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (parliament). This was reported by the website Musavat.com.
According to preliminary information, he was shot as he was leaving a market near his home.
It was noted that the deputy sustained two gunshot wounds, to the leg and shoulder.
As reported by local media, Fazil Mustafa has been taken to hospital. His life is not in danger.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has confirmed the fact of the attack on the deputy.
