Iran’s Mehr news agency has published a brief report about the Armenian St. Thaddeus Monastery, located in the province of West Azerbaijan.
“The St. Thaddeus Monastery is an ancient Armenian monastery in the mountainous terrain of Iran’s West Azerbaijan province.
The monastery, also known as Qara Kelisa, is located approximately 20 kilometers from the city of Chaldoran. It is considered one of the oldest church structures in the world,” the Iranian media outlet noted, which also published photographs of the Armenian monastery.
