During the Sweden-Azerbaijan match in the qualifying round of the 2024 European Football Championship, Armenians present staged a protest demanding an end to the blockade of Artsakh.
During the game, fans displayed the flags of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as a large banner reading: “Stop the blockade of Artsakh.”
Incidentally, in that match, the Azerbaijani national team suffered a crushing 0-5 defeat.
The Azerbaijani national team had also suffered a heavy defeat in the first match of the qualifying round, losing 4-1 to the Austrian national team.
