The session of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has kicked off in Yerevan. According to Armenpress, the session is taking place at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
Participating in the Parliamentary Assembly are the President of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, CSTO PA Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, the speakers of the parliaments of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Serbia, and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov. The heads of the parliaments of Serbia and Afghanistan are participating in the session as observers.
In his opening remarks, the President of the Armenian Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan welcomed the participants of the Assembly Council session and wished them productive work.
Following the conclusion of the Parliamentary Assembly Council session, the 12th plenary session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly will commence.
