Armenia’s largest mall, “Mekamoll Armenia,” has opened its doors to visitors. It is a spacious and bright shopping center where traditional Armenian architectural elements are combined with modern and creative solutions of the contemporary world. Occupying more than 98 thousand square meters, the mall consists of 6 floors, 3 of which are underground.

During the grand opening ceremony, Mekamoll Armenia’s Executive Director David Martirosyan emphasized in a conversation with journalists that when designing every detail, particular attention was paid to its roots and significance.

“The shopping center meets international mall standards and will primarily serve the convenience of visitors. There are more than 100 brand stores, which have opened in new and largest formats, resulting in the creation of numerous jobs,” noted Martirosyan.

It will also house the largest playground in the Transcaucasus, a cinema, restaurants and cafes, and a food court.

Mekamoll Armenia will house a Cinema Star theater with 4 halls, a food court designed for 750 people, as well as the largest “Yerevan City,” which has more than 8 thousand square meters of space.

The shopping center has a mega parking lot, as well as a free taxi service that transports customers from the stores to the entrance.

“On floors -1, -2, and -3 of the mall, there is parking for about 1800 cars. A smart system has been implemented there, which will allow visitors to easily navigate the area with the help of red and green traffic light colors. There are elevators on all sides of the parking lot, and escalators in the middle section,” presented Martirosyan.

The mall also houses a fountain registered in the Guinness Book of Records, which is also unique in the region.

Mekamoll Armenia also contains Minas Avetisyan’s “Night” mural (1973). It has been restored by Italian specialists. It is considered a historical and cultural monument and is the property of the Republic of Armenia.

It should be noted that the construction of Mekamoll Armenia took 5 years.
