On 6 September, at around 19:30, from positions located in the direction of the Karmir Shuka-Taghavard settlements of the Martuni district of the Republic of Artsakh, the Azerbaijani side fired toward Armenian positions and civilian settlements. This was reported by the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Republic of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan.
He noted that as a result of the gunfire, the house of one of the residents of the Taghavard community was damaged. Of the shots fired toward the house, 3 bullets pierced the wall of the house, and 1 bullet pierced the window of one of the bedrooms.
Six civilians live in the house damaged by the Azerbaijani gunfire, one of whom is a minor child.
After midnight, the Azerbaijani side continued the gunfire, as a result of which no casualties or material damage were recorded.
The Russian peacekeepers and the law enforcement bodies of Artsakh were informed about the incident.
